Welcome to the Barmby Moor Parish Council website.
Barmby Moor is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is situated approximately 1.5 miles west of Pocklington. According to the 2011 UK census, Barmby Moor parish had a population of 1,114.
The village was originally a market town with a coaching inn (Barmby Moor House - now a private residence). It has a church, St Catherine's, a Methodist chapel, village hall, primary school, post office and a pub, The Boot & Slipper. The church and the Manor House (another private residence)are designated as Grade II* listed buildings.
Each July a traditional fete - the Barmby Feast - is held in the village.
The village is fortunate in having access to FTTC (Fibre To The Cabinet) highspeed broadband, allowing download speeds of over 70 mbps.
